Michael Dauderstädt

Dr. Michael Dauderstädt studied mathematics, economics and development policy in Aachen, Paris and Berlin. He worked with the German Foundation for International development and since 1980 for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in its research institute in Lisbon, in the cooperation with Central and Eastern Europe and, from 2000 through 2006, as head of the International Policy Analysis Unit. Since August 1, 2006 he is director of the Division for Economic and Social Policy. His research focuses on international political economy and European integration. He likes to spend his free time with his family and on some hobbies such as reading (SF), movies, hiking, white water rafting, biking and wine.
